This ILD covers the court-martial system, a system which has been an important and integral part of Indonesian affairs in its recent history. As is the case for any country, the rules that apply to the military differ to those that apply to non-military matters. This includes arrangements such that the military is subject to a particular set of laws and procedures undertaken through court-martial. The court-martial system or the Military Court system was established and is regulated under LawNo. 31 of 1997on Military Courts (“Military Court Law”).
