2008 Draft Budget - President's Address to the Nation and the Parliament

The President's address to the Nation on 16 August 2007 included the basics of the 2008 Draft Budget and in as much was an assessment of where Indonesia has been and where the President sees Indonesia going in the future. It also represents, if you will, a report card on the President's performance so far and provides an opportunity for citizens to critically analyze the President's and Government's performance to date. With the President now into the second part of his term and a general election getting closer all the time people will take a greater interest in this performance or lack thereof.
