The Governor of the Jakarta Special Capital City Region (“Governor”) has finally determined the minimum wage for workers across several industrial sectors through Governor Regulation No. 8 of 2016 on 2016 Minimum Wages for the Industrial Sector (“2016 Regulation). Prior to the issuance of the 2016 Regulation, these same matters were regulated under Governor Regulation No. 20 of 2015 on 2015 Minimum Wages for the Industrial Sector (“2015 Regulation).
