2025 UMP for DKI Jakarta Jumps to Rp. 5.4 Million: Nationwide 6.5% Wage Hike Hits Employers

Following the mandate set under Regulation of the Minister of Manpower No. 16 of 2024 on the Stipulation of Minimum Wages for 2025 (“ Regulation 16/2024 ”) [1] , which applies to regional governments across the country during their official stipulation of applicable provincial minimum wages (Upah Minimum Provinsi– “ UMP ”) for 2025, which should have been completed by 11 December 2024, [2] the Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (“Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta– “ DKI Jakarta ”) has now determined the 2025 UMP for DKI Jakarta through the issuance of Decree No. 829 of 2024 (“ Decree 829/2024 ”), which has been in force since 10 December 2024.
