The Government has issuedPresidential Regulation No. 27 of 2009to facilitate the implementation of the provisions of article 26(3) of the Capital Investment Law, Law No. 25 of 2007. It is expected that the regulation will play an integral role in reducing the amount of licensing fees and non-licensing fees that investors are currently required to pay in order to make capital investments in Indonesia. The regulation has also been drafted with a view to improving the levels of legal certainty, accountability, openness, equal treatment of investors, and overall efficiency of the process.
