In response to the mandate set under Law No. 32 of 1997 on Commodity Futures Trading, as amended several times, most recently by Law No. 4 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (collectively referred to as “ Law 32/1997 ”), the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) has introduced a number of applicable general policies that apply within the commodity futures trading sector through the issuance of Regulation No. 22 of 2024 on General Policies for Commodity Futures Trading (“ Regulation 22/2024 ”), which has been in force since 2 October 2024.
