In order to implement the mandate originally set out under Regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 137 of 2023 on Authorized Economic Operators (“ AEO ”), the Directorate-General of Customs and Excise (“ Directorate-General ”) has decided to update the framework that applies to Economic Operators (“ Operators ”) who are seeking official AOE recognition through the issuance of Regulation No. PER-20/BC/2024 (“ Regulation 20/2024 ”), which has been in force since 14 January 2025.
