The Amendment Bill on Religious Courts may not appear at first thought to be a business related bill or a bill that potentially may have a significant impact on business practices in Indonesia however on closer inspection this bill holds the potential to radically alter business considerations in the future. The current law does not adequately address some basic issues like the Syariah Courts established in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD); marriage; inheritance; and, Syariah economic matters.
