Between 2020 and 2021, two notable judicial review petitions were filed with Indonesia’s Constitutional Court (–“ MK ”) againstLaw No. 4 of 2009 on Mineral and Coal Mining, as amended several times, most recently through Regulation of the Government in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation (collectively referred to as “ Law 4/2009 ”). The aforementionedpetitions were ultimately rendered as two decisions of the MK, as summarized in the following table:
