Attention Radioactive Waste Producers: Govt. Set to Introduce Wider Waste Management Roles and Mandatory Governance Obligations

In 2013, the government introduced Regulation of the Government No. 61 of 2013 (“ Regulation 61/2013 ”) on the Management of Radioactive Waste (“ Waste Management ”). As its title suggests, this framework introduced a broad Waste Management mechanism that addresses a number of different areas, ranging from the classification of radioactive waste (“ Waste ”) to relevant parties and Waste Management processes.
