BAPETEN Set to Enforce Post-Border and Border Supervision of Imports/Exports of Consumer Goods, Source of Ionizing Radiation and Nuclear Materials

Prohibitions on and limitations of imports and exports of consumer goods, sources of ionizing radiation and nuclear materials (collectively referred to as " Import and Export Prohibitions and Limitations ") are currently addressed under Regulation of the Head of the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency (Badan Pengawas Tenaga Tenaga Nuklir– " BAPETEN" ) No. 2 of 2017 (" Regulation 2/2017" ). However, as the Minister of Finance has now issued Regulation No. 26/PMK.010/2022 on the Stipulation of the Classification System for Goods and Exemptions to Import-Duty Tariffs on Imported Goods, which revises certain goods classifications that affect provisions on Import and Export Prohibitions and Limitations, the Head of BAPETEN (" Head ") has now issued a new Draft Regulation (" Draft Regulation "), which bears the same title as Regulation 2/2017 and which makes a number of revisions regarding these matters.
