In an effort to encourage more optimal contributions from banks as regards fulfillment of the macroprudential inclusive financing ratio, Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) recently issued Regulation No. 24/3/PBI/2022 (“ Regulation 3/2022 ”), which amends Regulation of BI No. 23/13/PBI/2021 (“ Regulation 13/2021 ”) [1] on the macroprudential inclusive financing ratio (rasio pembiayaan inklusif makroprudensial– “ RPIM ”) for conventional commercial banks (bank umum konvensional– “ BUK ”), sharia commercial banks (bank umum syariah– “ BUS ”) and sharia business units (unit usaha syariah– “ UUS ”).
