After a long deliberation process, the House of Representatives (“ House ”) finally passed Law No. 4 of 2019 on Midwifery (“ Midwifery Law ”) on 13 February 2019. [1] The Midwifery Law has been introduced in order to formally acknowledge the midwifery profession, as well as to provide legal certainty and protection for this vital occupation. [2]
