BLU Now Takes the Cake in Crude Oil, BBM and LPG Imports: Mandatory Monthly Reports Introduced and Greater Procurement Flexibility for BUMN

The government has issued Regulation of the President No. 26 of 2026 on Procurements of Crude Oil, Oil Fuel (Bahan Bakar Minyak– “ BBM ”) and/or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (“ LPG ”) for National Energy Security Purposes (“ Regulation 26/2026 ”). Regulation 26/2026 will now serve as an implementing framework to Law No. 22 of 2001 on Oil and Gas, as amended by Regulation of the Government in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 (collectively referred to as “ Law 22/2001 ”), [1] in order to ensure domestic supplies of BBM and LPG.
