Bonded Zones

Ministry of Finance Regulation No. 147/PMK.04/2011 on Bonded Zones (“Regulation”) has been issued to implement Articles 15 (3), 19 (9) and 48 of Government Regulation No. 32 of 2009 on Bonded Storehouses (“PP 32/2009”). The Regulation contains 15 chapters and 59 articles. In comparison, Minister of Finance Decree No. 291/KMK.05/1997 on Bonded Zones has 28 articles (”Decree 291/1997”). The Regulation refers to Law No. 10 of 1995 on Customs, as amended by Law No. 17 of 2006 (“Customs Law”); and Law No. 11 of 1995 on Excise, as amended by Law No. 39 of 2007 (“Excise Law”).
