In 2018, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) issued Regulation No. 31 of 2018 on the Labeling of Processed Foods (“ Regulation 31/2018 ”), which specifically addresses the various labeling requirements that apply to processed food products (see: “ Govt. Tightens Provisions on Labeling of Processed Foods ”). Regulation 31/2018 was subsequently amended for the first time in 2021 through the issuance of Regulation of BPOM No. 20 of 2021 .
