In an effort to support the competitiveness of the country’s micro-, small- and medium-scale enterprises (Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah –“ UMKM ”) within the natural medicines and cosmetics sector, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) has decided to introduce a foster parent program for application by said UMKM (“ Foster Parent Program ”) through the issuance of Decree of the Head of BPOM No. 390 of 2024 (“ Decree 390/2024 ”) on Guidelines for the Implementation of the Foster Parent Program (“ Guidelines ”), which has been in effect since 15 October 2024.
