The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) has issued Regulation No. 30 of 2021 on Requirements for the Addition of Nutrients and Non-Nutritive Substances to Processed Foods (“ Regulation 30/2021 ”), which updates the previous legal framework that covered this area, specifically Regulation of the Head of the BPOM No. HK.03.1.23.11.11.09657 of 2011 (“ Previous Regulation ”), which has now been repealed and replaced.
