Pursuant to Regulation of the Government No. 86 of 2019 on Food Safety, all parties that distribute foods are required to comply with various sanitation requirements and to guarantee the safety of both their goods and human life (“ Regulation 86/2019 ”). [1] Distribution itself may or may not involve trading activities. If parties engage in any trade in foods, then they are required to comply with food safety and quality standards through the implementation of food safety and quality assurance systems. [2]
