The Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) is currently completing work on a new Draft Regulation (“ Draft Regulation ”) on Procedures for the Issuance of Export Certificates (Surat Keterangan Ekspor- “ SKE ”) for Natural Medicines, Quasi Drugs, Health Supplements and Cosmetics Products (collectively referred to as “ Products ”). This new framework will ultimately support businesses that are required to secure distribution permits for Products (“ Business Actors ”), as well as Business Actors that export Products (“ Exporters ”) and that are therefore required to secure SKE. The goal here is to ensure that all exported Products meet the relevant requirements that apply in export destination countries. [1]
