In 2021, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) introduced Regulation No. 24 of 2021 (“ Regulation 24/2021 ”) [1] on the Supervision of the Management of Drugs, Drugs Ingredients, Narcotics, Psychotropics and Pharmaceutical Precursors (collectively referred to as “ Drug Products ”) at Pharmaceutical Service Facilities (“ Pharmaceutical Facilities ”). As its title suggests, the framework of Regulation 24/2021 outlined a set of applicable licensing procedures that must be followed before Drug Products are permitted to be distributed through Pharmaceutical Facilities.
