In order to ensure adequate safety and quality standards for all cosmetics products that are distributed within Indonesia, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) recently issued Regulation No. 17 of 2023 on Guidelines for Product Information Documents (“ Regulation 17/2023 ”), which updates provisions that address requirements for Cosmetic Product Information Documents (Dokumen Informasi Produk– “ DIP ”). Previously, these same matters were specifically addressed under Regulation of the BPOM No. 14 of 2017 [1] ,which was repealed and replaced by Regulation 17/2023 on the date of its promulgation, i.e. 2 August 2023.
