BRIN Data Governance Lifecycle Unveiled: Producers and Stewards of Research and Innovation Data Required to Implement Data Safeguard Measures

Following the enforcement of Regulation of President No. 39 of 2019 (“ Regulation 39/2019 ”) on Indonesia Single Data (“ Single Data ”), as well as to ensure the availability of research and innovation data based on the aforementioned Single Data, the National Research and Innovation Agency (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional –“ BRIN ”) has decided to issue Regulation No. 2 of 2025 (“ Regulation 2/2025 ”) on the Governance of Research and Innovation Data (“ Data Governance ”), which officially came into force on 28 April 2025.
