Broader Carbon Trading Access: Unregistered Units Permitted and Registration Fee Exemptions Extended to 2028

The Board of Directors of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (“ BEI ”) has issued Decree No. Kep-00102/BEI/07-2026 on the Amendment to the Regulation on Carbon Exchange Service Users (“ Decree 102/2026 ”). Decree 102/2026 introduces significant changes to the previous regulatory framework of Decree of the Board of Directors of PT BEI No. Kep-00079/BEI/11-2025 on the Regulation on Carbon Exchange Service Users (“ Decree 79/2025 ”), by allowing Carbon Exchange Service Users (“ Users ”) to engage in the trading of a broader range of carbon instruments, including units that are not recorded in the Carbon Unit Registry System (Sistem Registri Unit Karbon– “ SRUK ”).
