Bulletproof Infrastructure Deadline Looms by January 2026: 30-Minute Initial Fraud Reporting Window by BI-FAST Participants Now in Force

In 2023, Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) introduced Regulation of the BI Board of Governors of No. 17 of 2023 on the Organization of the Bank Indonesia-Fast Payment (“ BI-FAST ”) System, which was subsequently amended by Regulation of the BI Board of Governors No. 1 of 2025 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 17/2023 ”). As its title suggests, Regulation 17/2023 addresses a wide array of aspects that relate to the provision of BI-FAST services, as well as the requirements that apply to parties that wish to organize said services.
