BUMN-Exclusive Strategic Natural Resource Commodity Exports Incoming: Initial Wave Covers Coal, Palm Oil and Ferro Alloys

The government has issued Regulation No. 24 of 2026 (“ Regulation 24/2026 ”) on the Governance of Exports of Strategic Natural Resource (Sumber Daya Alam- “ SDA ”) Commodities (“ Strategic Commodities ”). [1] This new framework is being introduced in an effort to safeguard domestic supplies of Strategic Commodities, as well as to maintain economic stability in line with the export control authority mandate set out under the framework of Law No. 7 of 2014 on Trade, as amended by Law No. 1 of 2026 .
