On 26 July 2024, the government introduced Regulation of the Government No. 28 of 2024 on the Implementing Regulation (“ Regulation 28/2024 ”) to Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health (“ Law 17/2023 ”). Among the provisions set out therein, this framework mandates that the marking (penandaan), promotion and advertising of pharmaceutical products will be further regulated by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”).
