The Supreme Court (Mahkamah Agung– “ MA ”) has issued Circular No. 4 of 2026 on Guidelines for Legal Remedies for Free, Release, and Appeal Decisions, as well as Appeals and Cassation Legal Remedies that Do Not Meet the Formal Requirements (“ Circular 4/2026 ”). Circular 4/2026 replaces the provisions of Circular of the MA No. 8 of 2011 on Cases Ineligible for Cassation and Judicial Review insofar as they regulate matters covered under Circular 4/2026. [1]
