In order to provide a regulatory framework for the management of this waste the State Minister of the Environment has issued RegulationNo. 3 of 2007. This Regulation stipulates provisions relating to the collection and storage if dangerous and poisonous waste in Indonesian ports. The definition of ports in this Regulation includes both the water and surrounding land that supports shipping operations.
