Data at Your Fingertips: How Business Actors Will Contribute Vital Trade Data and Information via the SIP

In response to the mandate originally set under Regulation of the Government No. 5 of 2020 (“ Regulation 5/2020 ”) on the Trade Information System (Sistem Informasi Perdagangan– “ SIP ”) [1] to addresses various applicable provisions on trade data and/or information, [2] as well as the mechanism for the collection, processing, submission, management and dissemination of trade data and/or information, the Minister of Trade has decided to issue Regulation No. 28 of 2024 on the Implementing Regulation to Regulation 5/2020 (“ Regulation 28/2024 ”), which has been in force since 7 November 2024.
