Deadline Alert: Investment Import Exemptions Valid until 3 February 2026 Only

In August 2025, the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) issued Regulation No. 16 of 2025 on Import Policies and Regulations (“ Regulation 16/2025 ”), [1] which represented the first part of the Indonesian Government’s new import policy deregulation package. The new framework has updated the criteria that must be met when converting Importer Identification Numbers (Angka Pengenal Importir– “ API ”) from the General Importer (API Umum– “ API-U ”) category to the Producer Importer (API Produsen– “ API-P ”) category.
