Determination of Forestry Areas with Specific Purposes

The Minister of Environment and Forestry (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation of the Minister No. P.15/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/5/2018 on Forestry Areas with Specific Purposes (“ Regulation 15/2018 ”), which allows the government to designate forest areas for specific purposes (Kawasan Hutan dengan Tujuan Khusus –“ KHDTK ”) in the public interest, including for the purposes of research and development, education and training, as well as religious and cultural affairs.
