Development of Halal Industries: Govt. Introduces Provisions on the Establishment of Halal Industrial Areas

In an effort to promote the growth of Indonesia’s halal industrial sector, as well as to provide ease of access to facilities and supporting infrastructure for halal industrial activities for national or export purposes, [1] the Indonesian Government, through the Minister of Industry (“ Minister ”), has issued Regulation of the Minister No. 17 of 2020 on Procedures for Obtaining Certificates for the Establishment of Halal Industrial Areas (“ Regulation 17/2020 ”).
