DHE and DPI Framework Updated: DHE Deposit Mechanism Revised and Minimum Value-Incentives for DHE SDA Placements Introduced

In an effort to increase supplies of foreign exchange (devisa) within Indonesia’s national economy, as well as to ensure that provisions that specifically address Foreign-Exchange Export Proceeds (Devisa Hasil Ekspor– “ DHE ”) and Foreign Exchange for Import Payments (Devisa Pembayaran Impor– “ DPI ”) are in line with Regulation of the Government No. 36 of 2023 on Export Earnings from Business, Management and/or Processing Activities Relating to Natural Resources (“ Regulation 36/2023 ”), [1] Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) has issued Regulation No. 7 of 2023 on Export Proceeds and Import Payment Proceeds (“ Regulation 7/2023 ”), which has been in force since 1 August 2023. [2]
