DKI Jakarta UMP Set to Increase by 3.38% in 2024

Following the introduction of Regulation of the Government No. 51 of 2023 on the Amendment to Regulation of the Government No. 36 of 2021 on Wages (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 36/2021 ”), [1] as well as the issuance of Letter No. 02/Depeprov/XI/2023 on Recommendations for the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (dated 17 November 2023), which was filed by the Provincial Wage Council of Jakarta (“ Wage Council ”), the Governor of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (“ Governor ”) has now determined the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (Upah Minimum Provinsi– “ UMP ”) for DKI Jakarta through the issuance of Decree No. 818 of 2023 (“ Decree 818/2023 ”), which has been in force since 21 November 2023.
