Domestic Workers - Protected at Home

The Government is not only taking the protection of Indonesian domestic workers abroad seriously it is also ratcheting up the protections afforded to domestic workers at home as well. The Department of Labor and Transmigration has released a Draft Bill on the Protection of Domestic Workers for discussion and debate. It is expected that there will be considerable inputs made to the current version. Nevertheless, the initial draft includes some important and interesting points for this discussion and debate to occur.
