In its plenary session earlier this week, the House of Representatives (DPR) passed the Bill on Citizenship. The approved Bill contain several changes reflecting final compromises amongst the DPR factions from earlier drafts produced by the Special Committee (Pansus) and the Working Team (Panja) (see ILB 350, 23/6/2006). Nevertheless, these are detail in nature and many of the major issues in the past drafts remain unchanged.
