Draft Bill on Gig Workers: 10 Service Industries Soon Required to Provide Net Income Guarantees, Work Accident Insurance and Safety Training

In September 2025, a total of 67 Draft Bills were officially included as a part of the government’s 2026 Priority National Legislation Program (Program Legislasi Nasional– “ Prolegnas ”). One of these Draft Bills is the Draft Bill on Gig Workers (“ Draft Bill ”). It should be noted that gig workers had previously been legally known in the country by various other names, including freelance workers and Indonesian platform workers. [1]
