Draft Bill on Health: New Provisions on BPJS Benefits and Traditional Healthcare Practitioners Introduced

On 7 February 2023, the Legislative Body (Badan Legislasi/Baleg) at Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat– “ DPR ”) approved the Draft Bill on Health (“ Draft Bill ”), which is currently undergoing a process of deliberation undertaken by the DPR and which may thus be subject to further changes. The Draft Bill is also set to be further deliberated at a forthcoming plenary meeting, which is aiming to categorize the Draft Bill as a DPR initiative. [1]
