Draft Bill on Industrial Estates: Green and Halal Industrial Estate Transformation Imminent with Broader Incentives and Stronger Compliance Requirements

Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat– “ DPR ”) is currently completing work on a new Draft Bill on Industrial Estates (“ Draft Bill ”). However, although the Draft Bill is set to become the umbrella framework that addresses the development and organization of industrial estates when it is ultimately enforced, it should be noted that industrial estates themselves are currently governed under the framework of Regulation of the Government No. 20 of 2024 on Industrial Zoning (“ Regulation 20/2024 ”).
