Draft Bill on Job Creation Omnibus Law Finally Submitted to House

Along with an official presidential letter and academic draft, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs finally submitted an official Draft Bill on Job Creation (“ Draft Bill ”) to the House of Representatives (“ House ”) on 12 February 2020. [1] Accommodating a myriad number of provisions distributed across 79 already existing laws, the Draft Bill comprises 174 articles which address various employment-related issues and is expected to lead to the creation of greater numbers of job opportunities across the country, thus optimizing the absorption of Indonesian labor.
