Draft Bill on Personal Data Protection Updated

It has now been four years since the Draft Bill on Personal Data Protection (“ Draft Bill ”) was first introduced by the government. However, despite a lengthy gestation period, the Draft Bill has yet to be passed by the House of Representatives, even though it is currently listed as part of the2019 Priority National Legislative Program (“ Prolegnas ”). However, delays aside, an updated version of the Draft Bill was introduced on 29 April 2019. [1]
