Draft Bill on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry: Sweeping Kadin Reforms to Include Expanded Authorities and New Business Dispute Resolution Agency

Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat– “ DPR ”) is currently completing work on a new Draft Bill (“ Draft Bill ”) on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kamar Dagang dan Industri- “ Kadin ”). If the Draft Bill is ultimately enforced, then it will repeal and replace the current framework of Law No. 1 of 1987 , which bears the same title as the Draft Bill (“ Law 1/1987 ”). [1]
