Draft Bill on Traffic and Road Transportation: Digital Transportation Platforms Must Provide Social Security and Stronger Driver Protection

Indonesia’s House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat/DPR) is currently completing work on a new Draft Bill on Third Amendment (“ Draft Bill ”) to Law No. 22 of 2009 on Traffic and Road Transportation (“ Law 22/2009 ”). The Draft Bill introduces a comprehensive regulatory framework for emerging mobility technologies, including Information Technology-Based Transportation (“ IT-Based Transportation ”), [1] autonomous vehicles, and electric vehicles.
