The Draft Law on Shipping (Shipping Bill) is before the Commission V of the House of Representatives (DPR) for discussion and debate with an expectation that it will be enacted sometime this year. However, this expectation may not be fulfilled when on considers that the Shipping Bill was first compiled in 2002 and is only just now before the DPR. Nevertheless, the Shipping Bill is part of a 4 bill package that includes bills on Transportation, Primary Roads, and Railways, none of which have reached the DPR except for the Shipping Bill.
