The Minister of Communications and Information is currently finalizing a Draft Regulation that is set to repeal an earlier transitional Ministerial Regulation, No. 12/PER/M.KOMINFO/2/2006 (see ILB 17/3/2006). The Regulation is part of the Government's policy initiative to determine operational and service tariffs on the mobile cellular network. It is intended that the provisions will provide for tariff diversification through stipulating tariff structures and calculation mechanisms including the bundling of services. The Regulation has been drafted to ensure an increase in sound business competition between providers.
