Driving Licenses

On 29 February 2012, the Chief of National Police issued Regulation No. 9 of 2012 on Driving Licenses (“Regulation”) to implement Articles 88 and 89 of Law No. 22 of 2009 on Traffic and Road Transportation (“Traffic Law”).  Article 88 of the Traffic Law mandates the issuance of a Chief of National Police regulation to stipulate the procedures and requirements for examination and issuance of driving licenses (surat izin mengemudi– SIM).
