The Directorate General of Customs has issued RegulationNo. P-23/ BC/2007to ensure that all goods that are required to have duty paid but are sold in a duty free store before the duty is paid are subject to the necessary controls. The necessary controls in this case are the affixing of a label evidencing whether the requisite duty has been paid or not.
