Electricity Installations - Implementing Regulation

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued Regulation No. 0045 of 2005 on Electricity Installations (the “Regulation”) to facilitate the implementation of Articles 21, 22, and 23 of Government RegulationNo. 10 of 1989as amended by Government RegulationNo. 3 of 2005on the Supply and Exploitation of Electricity (“GR 3/2005”). The point of the Regulation is to ensure that there is sufficient infrastructure in place and that the infrastructure that already exists is fit for purpose. This should then provide a guarantee in terms of uninterrupted supply of electricity to the community.
