Eligibility for Import-Duty Exemptions Updated: Technical Considerations Now Required for Imports of Certain Types of Machinery, Goods and Materials

In an attempt to enhance investment in and the development and competitiveness of domestic Indonesian industry, the Minister of Industry (“ Minister ”) has established a framework that sets out procedures for the issuance of technical considerations (“ Considerations ”) to parties who wish to secure import-duty exemption facilities (“ Facilities ”). This framework features under Regulation No. 3 of 2026 (“ Regulation 3/2026 ”), which is set to come into force on 4 April 2026. [1]
